The American Bankers Insurance Association has elected its 2008-2009 board members and officers.
Thirteen banking and insurance executives have been selected to join the Washington-based trade association’s board.
Notable additions include Joan Cleveland, senior vice president of Prudential Financial Inc. in Newark, N.J.; Patrick A. Cozza, chief executive of HSBC Insurance North America in Bridgewater, N.J.; and Dean Purvis, senor vice president of Aegon Direct Marketing Services Inc. in Baltimore.
The group also re-elected the following as officers: ABIA president Richard L. Spickard, who is also senior vice president of The PNC Financial Services Group Inc. of Pittsburgh and ABIA vice president Paul Petrylak, who is also president of CIT Insurance Services in New York.
John Bruder, senior vice president of Securian Financial Group Inc. of St. Paul, Minn., and Neal R. Aton, chief executive of Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. of Chicago, will also rejoin as secretary and treasurer, respectively.
